1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Hinson Consulting Group, LLC (“HCG,” “we,” “us”), a Virginia limited liability company based in Richmond, Virginia. By accessing this website (hinsonconsultinggroup.com), submitting a form, using the readiness assessment or public APIs, or using any HCG-operated application made available under these Terms, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the website or services.

If you use the website on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and “you” includes it.

2. The website and services

The website provides information about HCG’s consulting services, articles and research, case studies, an interactive business-systems readiness assessment, structured-data APIs (such as the projects and FAQ endpoints), and a contact pathway. HCG may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website at any time without notice.

3. Client engagements come first

HCG’s professional services — consulting, strategy, implementation, custom applications, portals, dashboards, integrations, and governed AI capabilities (including CREVOX) — are delivered under separate written agreements, proposals, or statements of work. If these Terms conflict with a signed engagement agreement, the engagement agreement controls for that engagement. Client-owned data, deliverables, and intellectual-property terms are defined there, and client-owned data remains the property of the client or applicable data owner.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes, and not to:

  • probe, scan, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its infrastructure, or data that is not deliberately made public;
  • submit false, misleading, or third-party personal information without authority;
  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or data beyond the documented public APIs and ordinary browsing, or use content to build a competing dataset or service;
  • upload or transmit malicious code, or use the contact form to send spam, threats, or unlawful content; or
  • misrepresent affiliation with HCG, or use HCG’s name or marks to imply endorsement.

5. Intellectual property

All website content — text, articles, case studies, frameworks, graphics, logos, designs, structured data, and software — is owned by HCG or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. “Hinson Consulting Group,” “HCG,” “CREVOX,” and the HCG Business Experience Platform™ Framework (“BXPF”) are marks of HCG.

You may view, download, and print content for your own internal business evaluation and reference, with attribution and without modification. Any other reproduction, distribution, public display, or commercial use requires HCG’s prior written permission. Quoting brief excerpts with attribution and a link is welcome.

6. Assessments, APIs, and interactive tools

The readiness assessment, scoring outputs, and public APIs are provided for orientation and discussion. Scores and recommendations are informational starting points generated from your inputs — they are not audits, certifications, or professional advice, and they do not create a consulting relationship. API responses are provided as-is and may change or be withdrawn without notice; do not build production dependencies on them without a written agreement.

7. Third-party platforms and integrations

HCG’s work frequently connects to third-party platforms — for example Intuit QuickBooks, CRM systems, e-commerce platforms, hosting providers, and AI services. Your use of any third-party platform is governed by that platform’s own terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for maintaining your accounts, subscriptions, and compliance with those terms. Where an HCG-built application connects to a platform you control, you authorize the connection through the platform’s official flow and may revoke it at any time; HCG’s handling of connected-platform data is described in our Privacy Policy. HCG is not responsible for third-party platforms’ availability, accuracy, security, or conduct, and does not warrant results contingent on them.

8. AI-assisted features and content

Some HCG content and work product is produced with AI assistance under human review, and some HCG-built capabilities include AI components. Where you interact directly with an AI system in an HCG-operated experience, that will be disclosed at the start of the interaction. AI-generated outputs can be incomplete or incorrect; they are subject to the disclaimers in Section 10, and you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for business decisions. HCG does not use your data to train public AI models without express written authorization, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Your submissions

When you submit information through the contact form or assessment, you represent it is accurate and that you have the right to share it, and you consent to HCG contacting you about your inquiry. For ideas, feedback, or suggestions you send about HCG’s website or services, you grant HCG a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation — do not send confidential information outside a signed agreement.

10. No professional advice

Website content, articles, assessments, API data, and AI-assisted outputs are provided for general information. They do not constitute legal, tax, accounting, investment, or other professional advice, and are not a substitute for advice from qualified professionals who know your situation. This applies equally to content concerning financial systems and platforms such as QuickBooks: HCG configures and integrates systems; it does not provide licensed accounting or tax services.

11. Disclaimers

THE WEBSITE AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND APIS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HCG AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE, ITS CONTENT, TOOLS, OR APIS. HCG’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM WEBSITE USE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). LIABILITY UNDER A SIGNED ENGAGEMENT AGREEMENT IS GOVERNED BY THAT AGREEMENT, NOT THIS SECTION. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

13. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HCG from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the website or APIs, or your violation of law or third-party rights in connection with your use.

14. Suspension and termination

HCG may suspend or terminate access to the website, APIs, or any feature at any time, with or without notice, including for conduct that violates these Terms or risks harm to HCG, other users, or third parties. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact HCG at hello@hinsonconsultinggroup.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for thirty (30) days. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Richmond, Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief or limits rights you hold under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence.

16. Changes to these terms

HCG may update these Terms from time to time — including to reflect new legal requirements such as evolving state privacy and AI statutes and the EU AI Act’s phased obligations. The effective date above will change when we do, and material changes will be highlighted on this page. Your continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, discontinue use of the website.

17. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any signed engagement agreement, are the entire agreement between you and HCG regarding website use. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. HCG’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without HCG’s written consent; HCG may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
